4/7/2016 - Robbery

On April 2, 2016 Sioux Falls Police responded to an apartment in the 500 block of Spring Avenue in reference to a robbery.  An unknown suspect forced entry into the apartment.  Once inside the apartment, the suspect tied up the victim and began to ransack the victim’s belongings.  The suspect was armed with a handgun and described as a white male, 50-60 years of age, 5’8, somewhat over-weight, wearing a black ski-mask, gloves, black jacket, and blue jeans.  The suspect stole cash and jewelry.  The total value of loss is undetermined.  SFPD CC# 16-22664.

3/31/2016 - Commerical Business Burglary

On March 27, 2016 Sioux Falls Police responded to the area of West 49 Street and South Western Avenue in reference to a burglary.  Unknown suspect(s) gained entry to the business by throwing a landscaping brick through the glass front door.  Once inside the business, the suspect(s) stole numerous drones and drone related equipment.  The total value of loss is estimated to be over $5000.  SFPD CC# 16-21176.

3/23/2016 - Shots Fired at a Residence

On March 23, 2016, a Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a rural address in Hartford, SD for shots fired at a residence.  Unknown suspect(s) fired a shotgun type weapon at the residence.  The shot struck both the victim’s residence and vehicle.  The suspect(s) were last seen driving a white pick-up. The total value of loss is estimated to be $2500.  MCSO CC# 16-3823.

3/17/2016 - Construction Site Burglary

On March 14th, 2016 Sioux Falls Police responded to the area of E.1st St. and N. Cliff Ave. in reference to a burglary.  Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a construction trailer.  Once inside the trailer, the suspect(s) stole numerous construction tools used for installing drywall.  The total value of loss is estimated to be $3400.  SFPD CC# 16-17955.

3/10/2016 - Residential Burglary

On February 29, 2016, a Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the 300 block of W. 3rd Street in Hartford, SD for a residential burglary.  Unknown suspect entered the home and stole numerous electronics.  The suspect was described as a white female, brown hair (with possibly red tint), 150-170 pounds, wearing capri style jeans, and had a tattoo on her right inside calf.  The suspect was driving a 2005-2007 Dodge Durango that was grey in color with dark colored front and rear bumpers (described as a different color than the vehicle).  The total value of loss is estimated to be approximately $1100.  MCSO CC# 16-02727.

3/3/2016 - Vandalism

On February 28, 2016, Sioux Falls Police responded to numerous reports of vandalisms across the city.  The investigation into these incidents found that car windows and house windows had been shot out with a BB gun by an unknown suspect(s).  The total value of loss is estimated to be approximately $25,000.  SFPD CC# 16-13798.

2/20/2016 - Burglary

On February 20, 2016, Sioux Falls Police responded to a business in the 1000 block of South Minnesota Avenue in reference to a burglary.  An unknown suspect(s) were able to gain access to the business by forcing open a locked entrance door.  Once inside, the suspect(s) stole numerous checks and cash.  The total value of loss is estimated to be approximately $14,000.  SFPD CC# 16-11920.

2/18/2016 - Burglary

On February 16, 2016, Sioux Falls Police responded to a construction site in the 5800 block of South Bahnson Avenue in reference to a burglary.  An unknown suspect(s) were able to enter a locked construction trailer by cutting off the locks.  Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a large number of construction tools.  The unknown suspect(s) were also able to enter a building by cutting off the locks.  Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a tool box containing more construction tools.  The total value of loss is estimated to be approximately $3,000.  SFPD CC# 16-10938 and 16-10794.

On February 1, 2016, Sioux Falls Police responded to a residence in the 800 block of North Duluth Avenue in reference to a burglary.  An unknown suspect(s) were able to enter the residence by forcing open a secure door.  Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a roll of carpet, water heater, and some mini-blinds.  The total value of loss is estimated to be approximately $2,000.  SFPD CC# 16-7441.

2/4/2016 - Burglary

On February 1, 2016, Sioux Falls Police responded to an apartment complex in the 900 block of West Venture Place in reference to a burglary.  An unknown suspect(s) were able to enter the secure apartment complex by prying open a door.  Once inside, the suspect(s) stole a DVR, computer monitor, and 8 cameras.  The total value of loss is estimated to be approximately $3,000.  SFPD CC# 16-7277.
