8/28/2013 - Arson
On 08-27-2013 Sioux Falls Police took a report of a vehicle on fire near Arrowhead Park. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue arrived and extinguished the flames but the car was considered a total loss. It was later determined that the vehicle had been stolen from the 1000 block of N Holly Ave and had been used to drive through a cornfield near the location it was found burning. The total loss to the car and cornfield is in excessive of $10,000.00. SFPD CC#2013-60572

8/22/2013 - Residential Burglary
On 08-16-2013 Sioux Falls Police took a report of a residential burglary in the 3700 block of S Willow Ave. The resident reported that someone had entered their apartment and took several expensive pens described as “Montblanc” brand. The value of the pens is listed at $11,000.00. SFPD CC#13-57551.

8/8/2013 - Commercial Burglary
On 08/03/2013 Sioux Falls Police responded to a burglary in the 700 block of W 41st Ave. Based on surveillance video two subjects enter the store, via a window, and remove approximately 30 phones from a display case. The burglary occurred at approximately 2:30 AM. The value of loss is estimated at $5000.00. SFPD CC# 2013-53975

8/1/2013 - Armed Robbery

On 07-19-2013 Sioux Falls Police responded to the 1100 block of S. Minnesota Ave for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. According to the victim the suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The victim complied and the suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect was described as a white male, late 30’s to early 40’s, 5’8” and approximately 180lbs. The attached picture was captured by surveillance video. SFPD CC# 13-49950.

7/25/2013 - Burglary
On 07-21-2013 Sioux Falls Police responded to 8000 E HWY 42 for a burglary report. Sometime overnight someone had forced their way into the office area and took the petty cash that was on hand. No estimate of loss was listed. SFPD CC# 2013-50324

7/17/2013 - Burglary
On 07-17-2013 Sioux Falls Police responded to the 3500 Block of S Minn. Ave in reference to a business that had been broken into. It was determined that someone had smashed out the glass from the front door and removed five laptop computers from a display case. The value of loss is estimated at $3000.00. SFPD CC#13-49060.

7/11/2013 - Theft from Pop Machines
On 06-30-2013 Sioux Falls Police took a report of two pop machines, located in the 500 block of S 2nd Ave, which had the money removed. Two white males were observed at the machines acting suspicious. They then ran from the area at which time it was discovered that the machines had been broken into. SFPD CC# 2013-44040.

7/2/2013 - Stolen Firearms
On 06-30-2013, Sioux Falls Police responded to a burglary report in the 800 block of N Wayland Ave. It was discovered that the suspect(s) had forcibly entered the residence while the homeowners were away. Taken in the burglary were two firearms along with jewelry and several PlayStation and Wii games. The firearms are listed as a 30-30 rifle and a 12ga camouflage shotgun. The value of loss is estimated at several thousand dollars. SFPD CC# 13-44050.
