8/25/2008 - Convenience Store Robbery

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for the August 20th armed robbery at the Food N Fuel convenience store, 4701 West 12th Street.  Just before midnight on Wednesday night, three male suspects armed with knives entered and demanded the money.  They left with an undisclosed amount of cash, liquor, and cigarettes.  The suspects are described as males in their late teens, 5’8’ to 6” tall, wearing khaki shorts and bandannas over their faces.  They may be driving a 2002 silver Dodge pick up SD license number 1TK642 that was reported stolen on August 14th and has not been recovered.


8/18/2008 - Robbery at the Fair

Sioux Falls, South Dakota August 18, 2008: The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for assaulting and robbing an individual while at the Sioux Empire Fair on Thursday August 7th at about 9:00pm.  A twenty year old male victim reported that he was attacked and had his wallet taken by four to five African American males wearing red clothing.  The suspects are described as in their teens to mid-twenties.  The victim had several injuries and believes he was struck with a baseball bat.


8/11/2008 - Strong Armed Robbery

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for the strong armed robbery of a female while she walked from her car into work.  The robbery occurred north of McKennan Hospital and the Sioux Falls Surgical Center.  The suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed her purse, causing her to fall and receive minor injuries.  The suspect is described as a slender black male in his twenties, about 6’-1” tall wearing baggy jeans, a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and tennis shoes.  The purse was later recovered several blocks east of the incident, near 18th Street and Lowell Avenue.


8/1/2008 - Four Vehicles Stolen

The Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Department would like the publics’ help finding those responsible for the theft of four vehicles from the County Fairgrounds located near West 12th Street and Lyons Boulevard.  All four have been taken from car dealer sales since June 24th.  One GMC Yukon was located near Crooks with considerable front end damage. A 2008 Yukon Denali was located in an apartment complex lot at 3600 East 6th Street.  Witnesses reported seeing black male suspects putting a car cover on it.  A green 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager van SD license 19Z988 and a silver 2003 Lincoln Navigator SD License 44DVM4 are still missing.


7/28/2008 - Daytime Home Burglaries

The Sioux Falls Police Department would like the publics help locating those responsible for two daytime home burglaries that both occurred on Tuesday July 15th.  One was to a residence on Donahue Drive near 33rd and Kiwanis Avenue, shortly before noon.  The other was on St. Andrews Circle, near 57th and Minnesota Avenue, and may have occurred while the residents were out in the back yard during the early evening hours.  In both cases, jewelry was the main target.  Combined loss is estimated at over $60,000.
